If you’ve been around Johnson Heirloom for a while, you already know I believe life is about creating things worth remembering.

Sometimes those memories are stitched into a quilt.

Sometimes they’re made sitting around the table with the people we love.

And sometimes… they require a suitcase, a passport, and somebody reminding me that I do not need to pack my entire sewing room. 😂

In addition to running Johnson Heirloom, I can now help you plan your next adventure through The Traveling Quilter Travel Agency.

Whether you’re dreaming about a cruise, a tropical getaway, a family vacation, a girls’ trip, or simply getting out there and seeing more of this beautiful world, I’d love to help you turn that “someday” trip into an actual reservation on the calendar.

From Creating Heirlooms to Creating Memories

Johnson Heirloom has always been built around one idea:

Turning today’s moments into tomorrow’s treasures.

Usually, you hear me say that when I’m talking about quilts, keepsakes, photographs, clothing, or something handmade.

But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that travel fits that philosophy perfectly.

Think about the things we remember most.

The first time you saw the ocean.

That ridiculous thing your husband did on vacation that the family still talks about ten years later.

The girls’ trip where nobody got enough sleep.

Taking your kids somewhere they had only seen in pictures.

Walking through a place you've dreamed about visiting for years.

Or sitting on the balcony of a cruise ship with your morning coffee, watching nothing but ocean in front of you.

Those are heirlooms too.

They aren't something we put on a shelf.

They're the stories we tell.

And before anyone asks...

No, you do NOT have to be a quilter to travel with me. 😂

The Traveling Quilter may have quilting in the name because that's such a huge part of who I am and the Johnson Heirloom story, but my travel services aren't limited to quilting trips.

I can help you explore options for things like cruises, resort vacations, family trips, couples getaways, girls’ trips, group travel, celebrations and bucket-list adventures.

And, of course, I would absolutely love to continue growing the quilting side of travel too.

Imagine quilting retreats, sewing getaways, quilt-shop adventures and groups of creative women traveling together.

Fabric AND travel?

Travel has a funny way of reminding us that we need to actually live the life we're working so hard to build.

As a small-business owner, I understand how easy it is to say:

After this order.

After this busy season.

After I finish this project.

Maybe next year.

There will always be another project.

There will always be another deadline.

There will always be another reason to wait.

Sometimes you have to put the scissors down, turn off the sewing machine, close the laptop and go make some memories.

The fabric will still be there when you get home.

Trust me. I have enough of it. 😂
