Loaded Baked Potatoes 🥔🧀🥓
These Loaded Baked Potatoes are the ultimate comfort food—crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and piled high with butter, melted cheese, crispy bacon, and cool sour cream. They’re perfect as a hearty side dish or a simple, satisfying meal.
Serves
4 people
Ingredients
-
4 large russet potatoes
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Toppings
-
4 tablespoons butter
-
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
-
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
-
½ cup sour cream
-
2 green onions, sliced (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven
Preheat oven to 400°F.
2. Prepare the potatoes
Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
3. Season
Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. This helps create a crispy skin.
4. Bake
Place potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet and bake for 45–60 minutes, until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
5. Slice open
Carefully cut a slit in the top of each potato and gently squeeze the ends to open it.
6. Add toppings
Top each potato with butter, shredded cheese, bacon, and sour cream.
7. Garnish and serve
Sprinkle with sliced green onions if desired and serve warm.

-
A fresh garden salad
Quick Tip
For extra crispy potato skins, bake the potatoes directly on the oven rack instead of a pan.
